In 1954 Henry's, Inc. announced the plans to build a new store on the southeast corner of Douglas and Oliver. One of the architects was John Hickman, an intern under Frank Lloyd Wright. The store opened on November 1st of that year. Ferguson-Phillips was established in 2001 by Jeff and Brenda Cody, who envisioned a place where Wichitans could learn about the latest trends in interior design, while gathering resources for their own projects and purchasing fine furnishings and home decor.
