A domestic water repipe or what we like to just call a "RePipe", is where a plumber goes into a home and bypasses the existing hot and cold water delivery system and runs new hot and cold water lines. Why Would I Need a Repipe? Homeowners who have the brand name of Kitec made out of Pex Aluminum Pex for the existing domestic water system are good candidates for replacement of water lines. Kitec has a higher rate of failure due to the materials used to manufacture the pipe. Failure of your domestic water system results in leaking from the pipes running through walls, attic or slab of you home.
