Aho Architects, LLC specializes in creating environments for educational clients. Our work is in both pK-12 and Higher Education, with a strategic focus on Community Colleges. Aho Architects has designed Worship spaces, Christian Education facilities, Fellowship/Christian Life centers, Youth/Activity facilities, and Master plans for religious clients. We have designed "starter churches" for new congregations, as well as comprehensive new buildings, additions, renovations for established congregations.
Our staff of talented professionals will work with you to develop a design that meets your functional, aesthetic and budgetary needs. At Aho Architects, our success is built on listening to our clients. We create lasting designs out of communication, collaboration, and consistent attention to detail. Tim Aho's business plan, on which the firm was founded, was to leverage his extensive experience in designing public and institutional facilities and to focus on projects with budgets under $5 million, where our size, agility, and low overhead would give us a competitive advantage, and to build relationships first.
Over the past several decades, our team has designed some pretty interesting kinds of projects outside of the markets we serve every day. This is a multi-family residential development in Oneonta, Alabama which provides government assistance housing for agricultural workers. It was partially-funded through the US Department of Agriculture's Rural Development agency.
Buildings are more than just structures placed on plots of land. At Aho Architects, we believe that a building's design should first and foremost respond to the needs of its users through the design of innovative environments, while responding to site configuration and the owner's desire for particular aesthetics and budgetary constraints. Interior Design is more than simply selecting fabrics and finishes; it is fusing beauty and design with function and cost. Our interiors staff will assist you from the onset of your planned project to ensure that the very essence of your vision is captured in every detail.
Our team has more than 21 years experience designing commercial, corporate, business, and similar facilities. Aho Architects recently completed the design for the second location of the I Love Sushi restaurants in Huntsville. Construction began in the late Fall of 2012. This 6,000 s.f.
