Tim Huff was born and raised in Binghamton, New York. He worked for several years in a drapery workroom, FabricCraft. There he learned the process of making custom draperies and how different fabrics handle. While in the workroom, he furthered his education in interior decorating. Eventually, Tim was transferred from the workroom to being an in-home and in-store decorator for the fabric store downstairs, Clinton Mill Ends. In the fabric store, Tim sold custom draperies, blinds and upholstery. He quickly built up a client following.
