Founder Nan McVey launched her design firm in 1985. Since that time, the Richmond-based firm has worked with clients who own homes from Maine to Florida. Margaret Valentine soon joined forces with Nan to create what is now McVey Valentine Interior Design. The designers have collaborated with architects and builders, working from blueprints for a new home or a home addition. They have supervised the update of living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and sunporches. They have also consulted on smaller projects, ranging from window treatments for the dining room to accent pillows for the family room.
