In 1899 Esther and Harry Jaffe started a used furniture store in the heart of downtown Scranton. The business enjoyed slow and steady growth until 1931 when the couples son, Jerome brought new energy to the business. Under his direction, Penn Furniture grew and prospered. In 1970, Lee Jaffe, son of Jerome and Beatrice, took the furniture business to a new level. Lee introduced many of the high-end furniture manufacturers that we are still partnered with today. Penn Furniture's design service became an integral part of the business.
We will be closed again today.
PENN FURNITURE is taking this opportunity to insure the safety of all of our clients and staff. We are taking strong precautions to insure that all customers and staff are safe. We are fortunate that the size of our showroom is large enough that we can safely help clients while socially distancing from other clients and staff. We provide masks if you do not have one and have several hand sanitizing stations available throughout the store. If you are still concerned about being in a public place.
