Our clients wanted a finished basement that maximized the space to its fullest potential and be a comfortable area for their family and for visiting guests. The house was a 60s split foyer where most of the living was on the upper level. While the overall layout of the house suited these empty nesters, the hall and master bathrooms were small and dated and the master bedroom did not fit a king size bed nor have enough closet space. The existing kitchen was jammed into the back of the house and was poorly designed to serve a family of four who liked to entertain.
