Licensed in Massachusetts, New York Pennsylvania, Virginia: Chait Studios has been honored with design awards from AIA Rochester and the Illuminating Engineering Society. Stu Chait has been responsible for awards from the American Institute of Architects, the New York State Council of Mayors, and the City of Rochester; and has received the prestigious AIA Rochester Medal of Distinction and the AIA New York State Matthew W. DelGaudio Service Award. Chait Studios strives to walk with our clients throughout the maze of construction, interior design, landscaping, building codes, zoning laws, contractors, budgeting, scheduling, appropriate finishes, and furnishings, and in general, the milieu of building architecture.

Programming is always the backbone of every design project. It is essential to know space use, sizes, adjancencies, equipment, traffic flow, etc. before any decisions are made on design or re-design of a space. As part of the planning process, design is where the concept begins. This is where we facilitate the development of the client's spatial needs, wants and desires. These are what transfer the project from conjecture to reality. As defined in the AIA Architect's Handbook of Professional Practice, construction documents contain legal, contractual, procedural, administrative, architectural and construction information.
