Hacin + Associates is a multi-disciplinary architecture and design firm dedicated to design excellence and client service. H+A collaborates with clients to create compelling design that resonates with meaning, clarity of intent and a strong sense of place. Our team approaches each design problem by examining and often reinterpreting the physical and social context of a particular site and program to find pragmatic yet unexpected solutions. H+A's core vision of design and service without boundaries reflects our commitment to the highest standards of professional practice and dedication to all aspects of the creative process without any prescribed limitations on project type, budget, approach, or outcome.
Since its start, H+A has designed distinctive single-family homes, lofts, and apartments. In recent years, the firm's focus on residential architectural design has expanded to include full service, award-winning interior design that completes a holistic experience for our private residential clients. Led by David Hacin, the interior design department includes a team of experienced professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds that provides the entire practice with an educated perspective on color, form and material as well as on how furniture, rooms and spaces work - at even the finest grain.

It’s important to remember where you came from. As a design studio going on 28 years in business, this idea is an ever present part of our identity. In early 2000, Laconia Loft West was completed for David Hacin and Tim Grafft as part of Laconia Lofts, a new, H+A-designed artist housing development...
We caught the pets of H+A having a virtual powwow this week. Agenda items included who’s bringing what toy for their next studio play date, what’s for dinner, and, to our delight, how much they love their owners. Of course, the feeling is mutual. Don’t forget to give your furry friends a little V-Day squeeze!
An ideal space to source some vitamin D in snowy New England, with long views of historic Beacon Hill from bathtub to reading nook.
