Markus-Thompson is a full service design and construction firm in Springfield, Oregon. We have designed and built hundreds of homes, remodels and additions. Our commercial building experience includes residential care facilities, restaurants, apartments, various offices, industrial buildings and warehouses in Eugene and Springfield. We have the experience to assist you in design, engineering and coordinating with planning and building officials. Most important of all is client satisfaction. We are responsive to our clients needs and willing to do whatever is needed to make the building experience an enjoyable process.

Curt Markus and Howard Thompson partnered in 1976 to design and build custom homes in Eugene. Back in the 70s energy conservation was a concern, much like it is today. Curt and Howard's designs were among the first in the area to incorporate passive solar design and high insulation values. In addition to being energy efficient, our homes took advantage of natural lighting and craftsman style woodwork to create an atmosphere of warmth and beauty. In 1990 with a grant from the state, we opened a wall panel shop to construct framed wall panels for both residential and commercial projects.

Markus-Thompson Construction can design your home, remodel, secondary dwelling or addition in the Eugene and Springfield area and beyond. We also have stock plans you can choose or, have us modify one to meet your special needs. Our experience working with the local building departments to provide all necessary documents and information will help expedite the process.

We take your plan or provide you with one of our stock plans, provide the excavation, foundation and flatwork, framing labor, siding labor, windows, and all framing and siding material to construct the framed and sided shell.
