Golden-Fields Construction in Ashland Oregon, brings over thirty years experience in both residential and commercial construction - as well as more than thirty years as a licensed general contractor, to every project we undertake. As builders and designers, we have participated in all phases of the design and construction process. Our goal is to provide the client with the highest quality work possible, at the most reasonable cost. We strive to implement land-use planning, architectural design and construction techniques that promote environmentally sound principles.

Green Building is a multifaceted effort and is a collection of different principles, tools and effects that we can apply to desired outcomes. It is a simplification to claim the title of being a Green Builder. Effecting change by changing practices and the decision making process should be the primary goal, but like all things complicated, it is a continuum. 1. Green Building is often associated with reducing our "carbon footprint"*. It is one of the basic tools that help in evaluating impacts. 2. There is the toxicity of products and processes that we use to manufacture them that has direct human impacts in the manufacturing process and then again in how they out-gas in the home 22% of all the energy we consume goes towards residential use.

The remodel for the Loren and Sheryl Clear was whole house renovation and landscape. We took an ordinary and dreary 70's tract home and totally reinvented it. Sheryl is an interior designer, together, we worked through all the details to make their personal home shine. Over the 20+ years we have known John Fields we have had the opportunity to work together on many occasions. As a designer and builder he has proven, time and time again, to be an outstanding person to partner with on jobs both large and small.
