United Companies, A CRH Company, is best known as the company with the red, white and blue trucks, serving our communities with the production of sand and rock products, ready-mixed concrete, hot mixed asphalt and construction services, including grading and paving of highways, streets, parking lots and driveways. Mission accomplished, as we are a prominent component in one of America's largest and most successful construction and material supply organizations.

United Companies, one of Western Colorado's most prominent construction and materials supply companies, had a modest beginning in 1953 when the Nesbitt family purchased a small ready-mixed concrete company that was operating in Grand Junction. Since then, we have steadily grow from a handful of employees working in the Grand Junction area to currently employing 300 people and serving a market area of over 14,500 square miles in 11 counties in Western Colorado. The company operated as three separate corporations until 1983 when United Sand and Gravel, United Redi Mix and United Paving were merged to form United Companies of Mesa County, Inc.

United Companies offers construction services for projects of all sizes, including the Colorado Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Bureau of Reclamation, municipalities and county agencies. We have helped build many of our region's largest commercial, residential, and resort projects due to our expertise and experience in mass excavation, site development, roadway grading, structure excavation, storm drainage, deep utility installation, base prep and asphalt.
