The stand-alone shower can be fiberglass or tile with either an onyx or a custom made tile base. Depending on the style of the bathroom, the shower can be enclosed with a glass shower door on the front or some homeowners choose to open the shower up by only installing tile halfway up the shower and framing the top half with glass.
