This railroad bridge project consisted of replacing the north approach spans of BNSF Railway's Bellefontaine Bridge over the Missouri River. This work included extensive clearing and grading north and south of the abutments for track realignment. The foundations for the new approach structure were a composite system of drilled shafts and micropiles.
With over four decades in business we've constructed an incredible amount of work in the immediate downtown St. Louis area. Johnson III started St. Louis Bridge Construction Co. from humble beginnings with a desk in his bedroom. George previously worked for Frazier-Davis Construction Company, which closed its doors this same year. Bridge engineering and construction is in George's bloodline; his father and uncle were both bridge engineers for the Wabash Railroad.
