Plote Construction received the excavation contract at the Winnebago Landfill Facility in Rockford, Illinois. The 16 acre site will require Plote Construction to move 250,000 cy of material out of the future cell to a stock-pile, and then place 80,000 cy of clay back in the cell as a liner. Years ago Plote Construction partnered with Max McGraw in Dundee, IL right on the Fox River. Before our first shovel scraped the earth at McGraw, we worked with the foundation's fisheries and wildlife biologists, developing plans to not merely return the land to the way we found it, but, from an ecological and bio-diversity standpoint, make it even better.
