Our experience as a Design/Builder, Construction Manager and Trade Contractor have all been utilized when performing work on industrial projects and helped us to become a valuable team member and trusted source for phasing, scheduling, cost estimating and constructability recommendations.
As a general contractor Strauser Construction Co. joins the project team near the completion of the design phases through a negotiated contract or bid basis. Once selected as the general contractor, Strauser Construction Co. becomes involved in all construction related aspects of the project including scheduling, coordination, site supervision, self-performance of critical trades, and selection/utilization of subcontractors as required to complete a particular aspect of the project. An advantage that Strauser Construction Co. has over many general contractors and construction managers is our ability to self-perform concrete and carpentry work on projects with our own employees.
In support of our philosophy to provide the highest quality construction services, Strauser Construction Co. employs skilled labor to conduct all self-performed work on a project and provide the daily site supervision. Our labor force is trained through documented apprenticeship programs where workers learn trade related tasks and safety procedures in both field and classroom settings. Upon completion of an apprenticeship workers continue to advance their skill and knowledge of construction and safety techniques both on-site and with continuing education opportunities such as Fall Protection Training, Tool Safe Use Training and Lift Certification.
