IHC began in 1906 as a General Contracting firm. Throughout our history, we have expanded and modified our firm to reflect what Owners and purchasers of construction services need and desire. At our core, we are a builder of construction projects willing to adapt to the dynamics of an always changing marketplace, driven by the Owners of the projects we build. The Design-Build specialty division of IHC Construction Companies, LLC was created in response to Project Owners and Real Estate Professionals looking for alternatives to the traditional bid scenario. We offer Owners a single source project team they can work with, relate to, and trust. IHC provides building expertise and a pragmatic approach that will help "value engineer" significant dollars out of a project and with the fastest project delivery system. Our design-build team offers construction services to the commercial, industrial, warehouse and office markets.

Construction Manager as Adviser or Constructor (at risk), is a formula to pre-select the company and people who will help you get what you want for the price you can afford in a competitive, open book approach. No matter the delivery model, IHC has the construction equipment and skilled labor to back up the building services we provide. Our resources perform a myriad of complex and difficult jobs, maintain quality work and keep our sites clean, safe and ready.

It is the policy of IHC Construction Companies to provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, and that a condition of safety consistent with applicable federal, state, and local safety codes is maintained on all IHC projects and worksites. All contractors and subcontractors are also expected to comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and are monitored throughout the project for conformance. Contractors and subcontractors are not allowed on site without a current certificate of insurance that has terms and limits that are satisfactory to the owner.

Our Construction Management team offers project management services to the public building sector, with concentration in educational, institutional, healthcare and municipal construction. Our project team provides a solid management approach with over 3 decades of building expertise. Through value added engineering, we monitor cost effectiveness while maintaining strict construction schedules.
