Design-Bid-Build (DBB) is the traditional project delivery method. This delivery model requires your team to contract with different entities for design and construction. With DBB, the contractor has little influence on the project design, and opportunities for alternative construction approaches are minimal. This delivery model is also sequential; with little opportunity to condense schedules as detailed design effort should be complete before general contractors (GCs) are invited to submit construction bids.
