Insulated Concrete Forms, or ICF's, is a system of form work for reinforced concrete walls made with rigid insulation that permanently stay in place. They offer the solidity, security, and fire resistance of a concrete structure, but with the added energy efficiency of two layers of insulation. Today, they're commonly used in commercial buildings where the owner's goals include a high efficiency, LEED Certification, or a net zero structure. When ICF's came into our local market, Empire was one of the first contractors in the local area to learn about them, and then utilize them on a commercial building.
As a Construction Manager, we partner with our clients at the inception stage of the project, to oversee the planning, design, and construction of a project. Our first goal in this role is to provide the owner a building that both meets their functional needs and is also financially viable. During the construction phase, our project manager and field superintendent provide on-site representation of the owner's interests. By working closely with the contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, Empire is able to keep construction on schedule and on budget.
