Rock City Construction is a commercial construction firm providing general contracting, construction management and design-build services to public and private clients throughout the Middle Tennessee region. In the late 1800's Nashville came to be called "Rock City" due to the solid limestone strata underlying the city, and the solid character of its business people.

As an established general contractor dedicated to providing practical, cost-effective building solutions in Middle Tennessee, we offer construction services for a wide range of sectors including government, education, commercial, religious and industrial; from new construction to renovations and historic restorations. We have experience working on many types of projects ranging in level of complexity and value, and our bonding capacity is over $20,000,000. Rock City Construction Co, Inc., operates under unlimited Tennessee Contractor's License #1018 with classifications BC (Building Construction), HC (Heavy Construction), HRA (Highway, Railroad, Airport), and MU (Municipal and Utility Construction), and also holds Tennessee Contractor's License #2, the oldest active license in the state of Tennessee. Our core competencies are listed below; we have performed successfully under many contract types and delivery systems. As a general contractor, we provide management of the project and field supervision, typically self-performing approximately 30% of the work, often inclusive of carpentry, concrete, installation of frames, doors, hardware and some specialties.
