The Nine at Tuscaloosa is a 544-bed upscale apartment complex near The University of Alabama campus. In total, the eight residential buildings encompass 263,000 square-feet and feature 216 fully-furnished units. The complex includes a 10,000 square-foot, resort style clubhouse complete with a state-of-the-art fitness center, game room, various study lounges, community kitchen and on-site leasing office. The adjacent pool area offers a zero entry pool and recreation deck with a multitude of high-end amenities, including multiple grilling stations, hot tub, lounging areas, hammock and volleyball court.
We served as construction manager for the development of the Academy Business Park located off of I-59/20 in Bessemer, Alabama. This 140-acre mixed-use commercial development is now home to a number of retail facilities, hotels, restaurants, and car dealerships, including the Social Security Administration Building, Dixie Nissan, and Academy Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, all of which were constructed by Amason.
As Construction Manager, Amason works with the owner, architect/engineer, and any consultants throughout the design, preconstruction, and construction of the project. Depending on the owner's needs, we serve as agent, whereby the owner holds all trade contracts, or at-risk, in which we hold those contracts and guarantee their performance.
