Brooks Engineering Associates, P.A. was founded in 2001 and is located in Asheville, North Carolina. We are a multi-disciplined engineering and surveying firm that manages a variety of projects including both civil and environmental engineering projects, large or small. We can take your land development project all the way from initial planning to construction administration and we pride ourselves in meeting our client's objectives on schedule and on budget. Worked with client to convert existing school facility into adminstrative office/conference center. Work included staking/parking work which eliminated existing traffic congestion for Mills River Elementary. Hyatt Cover Development is a 22 lot development owned and developed by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Provided road design, erosion control, storm drainage design, and domestic water booster pump/line extension for project. An partially completed multi-phase development which required rehabilitation and completion of proposed phases.

Provided comprenensive project management for all aspcets of design and permitting. Directed collaboration between architectural firm, land planning firm, environmental consultant, traffic consultant, geotechnical engineering firm, structural engineering firm, and multiple internal site engineers. The project was very complex as the 900-bed student apartment project is constructed along mountainous ridgeline and is served by onsite community water and wastewater treatment systems and a complex system of varying wall types.

Worked closely with project architects to provide site development for new multi-story classroom/staff office building built per L.E.A.D./GREEN standards. Provided site grading, drainage, erosion control and utility plans for development. Provided site demolition, grading, drainage and utility plans for campus expansion into existing parking area. Worked with local sewer authority, City of Greenville and SCDT, moved existing sewer infrastructure for new roadway. Asheville, NC Provided site demolition, grading, drainage, utility and landscape plans for a new bakery/restaurant facility.

Provide construction staking and as-built surveying for a building addition to a public school. Provide an as-built survey of a twelve mile municipal waterline and associated easements and right-of-ways information for the City of Asheville Water Department. Provided Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and ALTA survey for a commercial shopping center. Provide property subdivision and platting, construction staking, as-built survey, and ALTA survey for a new gas station. Provide property boundary survey and utility construction staking for a rural medical facility.
