When they sat down to start Juneau Construction Company the odds were stacked against them. They knew that there would always be a reason not to do something, but the risk was worth it in their eyes. Not letting the odds deter them, Nancy said, "this is what we love, and we went for it." Founded in 1997, Atlanta-based Juneau Construction Company rapidly grew from a two-employee, wife-and-husband business to a more than $250 million company with over 175 employees and offices in Atlanta, Miami and Tampa.

The comprehensive Preconstruction, Virtual Design and Construction, and Construction Management services we offer exist to prevent problems, overcome obstacles and allow us to find innovative solutions throughout the life cycle of a project. At Juneau, we work best in the initial planning and design phases of a project when we can perform a thorough project analysis and establish project goals with our clients, architect partners, and subcontractor partners from day one. Our extensive knowledge of construction, existing market conditions, subcontractor market, building products, systems and trends allow us to creatively maximize our clients proforma and deliver a best in class experience.

The life cycle of a construction project is one of a complex array of moving parts and pieces made more difficult today than ever before due to the inherent challenges associated with elevated construction costs, lack of skilled labor, and often difficult regulatory and zoning requirements. It is because of these challenges that we at Juneau allocate significant resources to our Preconstruction, Virtual Design and Construction, and Scheduling departments. It is our belief that there is no successful project in the field without ahard-fought battle in the Design-Preconstruction phase.

In addition to the traditional responsibilities of managing cost, schedule, quality and safety; we have employed the in-house expertise of our multitude of engineers to help bridge the gap between the architect and their consultants and our trade partners to ensure the highest level of coordination and clash detection takes place far before construction or installation take place. Additionally, our self-performing crews are an invaluable risk mitigation tool allowing us to maintain greater control of the schedule, quality, and potential cost escalation with regards to specific trades.
