The Construction Manager (contractor) applies effective management techniques to the planning, design, and construction of a project for the purpose of controlling time, cost, and quality. We have successfully completed projects with a total combined value of over 55 million dollars while serving as the Construction Manager. Construction managers evaluate various construction methods and determine the most cost-effective plan and schedule.

In the Design-Build project delivery method, a team is assembled by Clark & Leatherwood, with the primary focus being the goal of the client, with a single point of overall project control. The team includes Architects, Engineers, and Consultants, each selected for their ability to perform and remain focused on the mission of the project which includes constantly analyzing time, cost and quality. Clark & Leatherwood has successfully completed Design-Build projects with a combined total value of over 50 million dollars.

With the General Contractor project delivery method, the owner employs the services of Architects, Engineers, and Consultants to design the project. A General Contractor performs or supervises the construction of a project based on the design provided by the owners. The general contractor may use its own employees to perform the work and/or the services of subcontractors. In today's market, this method is quickly becoming the least desirable. An owner typically pays a higher fee for design and value-engineering considerations have not been applied.
