This project involved construction of a three story, 75,000 SF, LEED Gold office building utilizing tilt-up concrete construction, as well as site improvements. The new office building, located at 5801 University Research Court, is part of the University of College Park's newly branded Discovery District, a 150-acre area that stretches from Baltimore Avenue to River Road, where University of Maryland leaders envision a hub for research and economic development.

Construction Management is the process in which the Owner hires a Contractor to manage a team of design professionals and serve as coordinator of the design and construction. Partnering with Morgan-Keller early in the planning stages is a smart decision, as we can also help with site selection and financing procurement. In our role as Construction Manager, we serve as the construction specialist representing the best interests of the client throughout the project. Our approach is to establish a team atmosphere between the Owner, Construction Manager, and Design Team.

Our Preconstruction Department works directly with the Owner, Design Team, key subcontractors, suppliers, local jurisdictions, and others to ensure that our clients' projects begin and end on time and within budget. Our dedicated preconstruction team analyzes cost and schedule implications of building systems and materials to provide project specific, detailed recommendations that optimize project schedules and budgets.
