Are you tired of your old home, but love your neighborhood and dread the thought of relocating? Maybe you should consider a complete home renovation. Whether you desire an open concept floor plan, a family oriented design, a more modern layout/decor, or Craftsman style design, our expert team is here to help transform your home to better suit your needs. Lifestyles change over time, shouldn't your home adapt to better serve you and your family. Through our design build process (link to design build process), we can help define your vision of your new dream home.
At J.L. Tippett we specialize in your moderate to extensive home additions, renovations, or unique home projects. We can implement one of your prepared architectural designs or have one of our expert architects collaborate with you. We take the time to create the space you have envisioned that reflects your taste and adds value to your home, while remaining on-time and with-in budget.
Home additions are one of the many ways you can transform your current residence into the dream home you have always wanted. While most home remodeling projects create new spaces, the only real way to add square footage to your house is through a home addition. Additions come in all shapes and sizes, and can range from adding a few feet to a kitchen, or adding a large two-story addition to accommodate a garage and bedroom suite. J.L. Tippett Construction can help you design the perfect addition to your home from concept and design to architectural completion.
Is your basement currently unfinished, or in desperate need of updating? We can help you make better use of that space and add more value to your home. Whether you want to make it a kids' play area, man cave, gaming center, theatre room or a new living area, our designers will help you achieve your vision. The best part of basement remodeling is that the space already exists; there is no need to excavate. Also, utilities are generally close by, and the heating/cooling loads are usually lower than the rest of the house, which helps reduce challenges and lower costs when remodeling a basement.
Together our residential design team brings over 76years of combined experience to the table. Having this level of knowledge and skill set is unparalleled. Experience our quality of work and expert design for yourself when you hire J.L. Tippett for any home renovation needs. JLT's designers are experts at helping homeowners define their vision. Your design consultant will meet with you in your home and will listen to your needs and ideas for your project and discuss the issues you want to address and goals you would like to achieve.
Not every remodeling project can be pigeon holed into a specific category. Some projects are as unique as the clients we have been fortunate to work with over the years. The design/build process is the perfect tool to accommodate your specific need. If you have a space that you would like to have transformed into a specialty room, JLT is the place to start. Over the years, we have worked on many unique projects including custom dog grooming rooms, large scale workshops, in-home offices, secret rooms and cabinets, wine grottoes and more.

This client had a lot of needs and wants on their list of updates for the project, but I believe they will get most everything they desire from the remodel. The 2-story addition on the back of the house will greatly open the floor plan on the main level, especially in the kitchen area. It will...
