Keller Engineers, Inc. founded in 1991 by Joseph G. Keller, PE, provides client-focused Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and Surveying services to the public and private sectors. Our firm is comprised of approximately 60 employees - professional engineers, registered land surveyors, registered landscape architects, designers, engineering technicians, GIS analysts, surveying technicians, construction inspectors, and a professional administrative staff. We are committed to providing the highest quality services available through maintaining excellent staff, purchasing state-of-the-art equipment, utilizing the latest drafting and engineering programs and techniques, and providing employees with professional training opportunities.
An accurate, reliable survey is the first step to a successful project. Keller Engineers' professional survey crews have extensive experience providing services to land owners, contractors, developers, attorneys, financial institutions, realtors, governmental agencies, etc. The coordinator for our projects is a Professional Land Surveyor with more than 33 years of experience. He manages three full-time survey crews equipped with state-of-the-art survey equipment including computerized auto-tracking robotic total stations and Global Positioning System (GPS) locating devices.

Keller Engineers' Land Development team brings experienced, professional engineers, surveyors, and landscape architects together to give your land development project quality design and thorough construction inspection. Our engineers strive for precision and accuracy. They are adept at assessing the economic and social impact of a project, and defining present and future environmental concerns. Our team of technical professionals has designed hundreds of land development projects including commercial, residential, retail, education, healthcare, corporate, industrial, institutional, recreation, government, and civic facilities; and business/industrial parks.
Nordenberg Hall is a residence hall at Pitt. University housing 559 first-year students. Keller Engineers was responsible for the design of structural elements including lateral force connections of the exterior components and precast cladding. Each floor offers two large lounge areas, two study lounges, compart- mentalized hall bathrooms, a laundry room, a fitness center, two music practice rooms, and a Wellness Center. Retail space and the University pharmacy are located on the first floor. An exposed glass central stair connects each floor and a rooftop terrace provides 190 seats for casual dining and student gatherings.
