From there, we were contracted to completely remodel an entire floor amounting to 16,278 sq. We then completed an additional floor in the building. The work area there was 18,116. Unlike our first entire floor project, this one focused mostly on demo and haul out of the existing office furniture and installing new flooring and paint. In the 1960s and 1970s, Raimondo Construction was primarily an industrial concrete contractor installing machine foundations and performing various concrete projects for companies such as Elliott Company, Westinghouse Electric, and Westinghouse Air Brake. When the industrial landscape began to change, we began working in numerous power plants in the 1980s and early 1990s. Through this rich history of industrial work, we became highly skilled in all aspects of concrete forming techniques and the use of specialty products such as latex modified and epoxy mortars.
Our Building and Interiors work represents the centerpiece of the company where all facets within our organization interact. Through this work, we maintain our elite repeat partner list which includes the Diocese of Greensburg, St. Emma Monastery, Wabtec Corporation, Citizens Bank, Redstone Highlands, and Pool City to name a few. Projects are staffed with highly trained Raimondo employed carpenters and laborers. The on-site presence of these craftsmen and skilled workers throughout a project ensure both superior job site management and end results.
Design build allows the partner complete interaction with the Raimondo professionals from the project feasibility stage to completion. Contrary to the adversarial confrontations which sometimes arise on competitively bid jobs, design build allows the Raimondo team and the partner to work as a unit. Many Raimondo Construction projects are done on a design build basis. Because of our many years of experience, we are able to work with an architect to value engineer a project for our partners from its very inception.
