For 68 years, Nello Construction has been providing its customers with high-quality and cost-effective construction services. Since founded by Giulio Torriero in 1952 as a masonry contracting firm, Nello Construction has greatly expanded its business to include general construction, construction management, and design-build services. Now under the leadership of Giulio's son, Gino Torriero, Nello Construction serves customers from large public and private clients with projects in excess of $75 million dollars, to small businesses and private owners who need more conservative projects performed with the skill of a large contractor.
As a general contractor, Nello Construction performs over 25% of work with our own employees. This enables us to keep advanced project schedules and control project takeoff. Our self-performed expertise includes demolition, excavation, concrete, masonry, carpentry, millwork, and steel building installation. Our Construction Management (CM) team can effectively administer a project from feasibility study to project closeout. Construction management services may include preliminary evaluations, schedules and estimates, constructability review, value engineering, on-site representation, project commissioning, and claim analysis.
As the Chairman at Nello, Gino is responsible for the overall direction and operations of Nello Construction. Gino is directly responsible for financial oversight, executive project management, bonding, and contracts. He serves the firm's valued clients to ensure projects meet their expectations. As President, Jake oversees all aspects of Nello's construction operations, including hands-on management of all Nello's projects. He also oversees and manages all aspects of Nello's estimating, purchasing, project start up, high- level project oversight, project closeout, company oversight, and pre-construction services.

Originally a masonry contractor, Nello Construction became a general contractor in 1970, focusing primarily on retail construction.
