Railroad Construction Company, Inc. possesses a long and rich heritage. The company was established in 1926 to provide an array of track services for the private and public sectors along the East Coast. We have since developed into a major general contractor with experience and expertise in all areas of civil construction, track construction, and building construction. Our services include excavation, grading, site work, utility installation, structural concrete, building fit-out, building construction and rehabilitation, bridge construction and rehabilitation, roadway construction, and railroad track installation, track maintenance and track removal.
In 1926 Joseph Daloisio, Sr. founded Railroad Construction Company (RCC) and started performing railroad track repairs after leaving his job at the Erie Railroad Company. Joseph built the basis of Railroad Construction Company providing service as a quality contractor dedicated to on time completion of projects. From 1926 to 1942, RCC operated out of a small office next to the Daloisio home on Summer Street in Paterson, NJ. Al Daloisio, Sr. joined his father in 1927 and took over the reigns of RCC in 1941 with the help of his brother Tony, and sister Mary Daloisio Falcione and her husband Tony Falcione.
We perform all types of civil construction for both public and private sector clients. Our experience ranges from groundbreaking site development projects to infrastructure modifications and upgrades. In addition, we have worked on many secure sites and our workforce holds credentials from both SWAC and TWIC. In preparation for future demand due to the East Side Access (ESA) project, the expanded Mid-Suffolk Electric yard features 11 new storage tracks and service areas plus a newly constructed 32,000 SF Employee Welfare Facility.
