The Congress Companies is a merit shop construction firm specializing in the Senior Living/Health Care and Multi-Family Residential market sectors throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey. We provide Pre-Construction Strategy, Construction Management, Building Commissioning, Design/Build Turnkey, and Development services and believe that the best construction outcomes and lasting client relationships are built with extensive planning before a shovel ever hits the ground. Today we honor the life of one of the founders of our companies, Peter W. Nicholson, who passed away on Monday December 12, 2016.

It began with two brothers who believed in the simplicity of building quality buildings and strong client relationships. More than 60 years ago, Peter and Paul Nicholson graduated from the Wentworth Institute of Technology, started their journey as General Contractors in Salem, MA, and worked to bring their vision to life. Their firm caught the eye of a local entrepreneur from Quincy, MA who was expanding his own restaurant and hotel chain across New England and beyond. He hired this emerging company to construct the buildings that became key to his growth and success.

Acting as your fiduciary, Congress oversees your project from preliminary planning through final commissioning. As an extension of your company, we ensure your building is planned and constructed to meet your needs, and for a viable final cost. Congress plans and constructs buildings optimizing value by providing early input based on our extensive industry experience. Our team will serve as your Construction Manager or CM at Risk. Congress also has the resources to deliver your project in a vertically integrated fashion, with the ability to provide all design, engineering, interiors, furnishings, and any additional services you require to manage and successfully deliver your project.
