Browne's Garden Center is the only all-organic garden center on San Juan island. While you can find conventional garden supplies in Browne's Home Center, the Garden Center only carries non-chemical fertilizers and pest deterrents. The Garden Center also carries a wide range of ceramic planters and bagged sterile potting mediums that are free of weed seeds and insects. The staff in the Garden Center have more than 17 years of experience cultivating gardens and landscapes, and can answer all of your questions about organic gardening and plant care.

Seven decades have passed since the Browne family opened the doors to Browne's Home Center in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island in Washington State. The Browne family enterprise took shape in 1947, when Jim and Inez Browne moved to the island and purchased the business with a fortuitous name: Brown Lumber.
