Amish Traditions Furniture is a family owned business. We offer a full line of hand crafted, solid wood furniture. Each piece is handmade to last many generations, an investment that will last a lifetime. To each craftsman, building heirloom quality furniture is an art form. They build pieces using the same time-honored techniques their grandfathers used. These pieces are not built on an assembly line; each piece is bench-built by a craftsman. Standard features include dovetail drawers, mortise and tenon joints, and a hand-rubbed oil finish.
Amish Traditions offer a full line of hand crafted, solid wood office chairs. No plywood, particleboard or veneers. We take a great deal of pride in helping to preserve the tradition of fine early American craftsmanship. A refreshing alternative to the mass - produced furniture reproductions being manufactured today. Furniture that offers beauty, utility and lasting value that will enhance our lives now and for many generations to come. Each chair is made-to-order using solid wood construction, mortise and tenon joinery and steamed bent legs and backs.
Proper cleaning of your furniture ensures its beauty and longevity. We strongly recommend reading the tips below to keep your furniture in top condition. There are many things that will collect on the surface of wood finishes. Such as cooking oils and fumes, fingerprints, dust, and smoking residue. Generally a soft damp cloth followed by a dry cloth will be all you need to clean the finish. If a cleaner is required, use only a very mild soap and wipe dry. A high quality furniture polish may be used occasionally.

Feel free to contact us if you'd like us to mail you a wood sample. Furniture finishes come in two categories, penetrating and film. Penetrating oil finishes allow you to feel the wood but offer almost no protection. Film finishes cover the wood with a clear varnish coating and offer superior protection. Most Amish furniture finishing shops use conversion varnish to "topcoat" the wood after it's stained.
