We work to make reuse the norm; provide access to affordable building materials; teach home repair and building skills; and reduce the outrageous amount of stuff that goes to waste in landfills-diverting over 1,800 tons per year. Learn more below! Our store is full of discounted reclaimed building materials for your project and repair needs. To lower risk, all guests are required to wear a face mask or covering. Store hours are Tues-Sun 11am-6pm. We are no longer requiring appointments to shop. We empower students to develop practical carpentry, woodworking, plumbing, and electrical skills through a wide range of fun, hands-on classes.
With your help, the ReBuilding Center builds community resilience in the Portland region by ensuring access to affordable reclaimed home improvement materials, reuse education, and repair skills so people can be self-sufficient and reduce waste. We are driven by a shared vision of a world in which all people and materials, particularly those perceived as liabilities and often cast aside by society, are respected and valued as community assets. Believing that the more fair and diverse our organization, the more effective we will be in achieving our mission and goals to serve the community, the ReBuilding Center is committed to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in all of our operations and actions.
