He has an economics degree from Univ. of Colorado, Boulder. He has a NM contractors license, and is one of the few in New Mexico to hold multiple certifications from the national Irrigation Association. Kent has a degree in photography, and for 12 years managed a camera and video store in Highland Park, Illinois.

The Firebird was started in 1977 with a vision of providing self-sufficient home heating. The founders began with selling a single brand of wood stove out of their garage. A few years later, The Firebird began selling a small selection of drip irrigation components. Under current ownership since 1988, The Firebird has grown into the leading stove, fireplace, and irrigation supplier in Santa Fe & northern New Mexico. Stuv clean burning wood fireplaces are available in ten different models. The see thru style shown here is comes in four different sizes so you can enjoy the fire from multiple rooms. The hideaway glass door raises & lowers with just the touch of a finger. It also tilts outward for easy cleaning. Now clean doesn't mean compromise. The Rumford 1000 combines environmentally responsible clean wood burning with the traditional romance of an open fire. While your family enjoys the snap, crackle, & pop of the fire, it is producing 70% less emissions than a typical fireplace with the door open and 93% less with the door closed.

Electric Fireplaces are ideal for apartments, condos, or homes where no gas line or chimney access is available. They are an excellent source of heat for a small room or area without the installation expense of a wood or gas heater. Most electric fireplaces include a multi-function remote allowing you to control flame level, heat output, etc. The Gallery Series features wall mount linear electric fireplaces in six sizes ranging from 36″ to a truly dramatic 94″. The full featured remote allows you to control flame & heat levels, plus select any of 13 stunning LED backlighting colors.

Drip irrigation has been used for decades in arid regions throughout the world. It is ideal for use in the high desert climate of Santa Fe, particularly given the scarcity and expense of water throughout the Southwest. Drip is a low volume, low pressure method of delivering water directly to plants, minimizing runoff and evaporation losses. Flexible tubing delivers the water around your yard, and small devices called emitters or drippers meter out the water slowly to your plants. It is easy enough to initially install or modify as needed yourself.

Stuv's clean burning wood inserts will dramatically improve the efficiency of any open fireplace. The three available sizes are based on the very popular freestanding stove versions. The small Stuv wood insert is ideal for converting a wood kiva fireplace into an efficient heater. Our display model shows the blend of Santa Fe tradition with modern heating efficiency. The Linear 1700 is the one of several low & wide contemporary Valor gas fireplaces, including see-thru and outdoor models. Your choice of firebox liners and logs/glass customize this fireplace to your liking. Every Valor fireplace includes a deluxe handheld remote to control every aspect of your fireplace's operation. The Horizon 54 is the largest of several low & wide contemporary models. Add reflective inner panels and choose your color of glass crystals. Use an optional face trim such as the Metallic Black shown here, or simply bring the wall finish right to the edges of the fireplace for a clean minimalist look.

In the arid Southwest, capturing and utilizing rainfall is an essential part of conserving natural resources and cost effective outdoor watering. We carry a variety of barrels and tanks, in numerous sizes and styles, for capturing rainwater. Bushman offers several sizes of tanks up to 1,320 gallons, including their unique Slimline series. These tanks are specifically designed to fit snugly against your house close to the gutter or canale. Their light tan color, Mocha, is most popular, although several other colors are available.
