CNC carved restoration mouldings are cheaper than the custom knives would cost when just running a few sticks of a profile. We scan a cross-section and draw over it in CAD. We then sweep that into a profile. The profile is then raster cut with an 1/8-in ball mill to get it almost sandless finished product.
