Originally called The CFR Company, we started in 1982. After hearing "What does CFR mean?" time after time, we changed our name to Chadima Furniture and Restoration, answering the question once and for all. Our intent was to be solely a restoration and refinishing company. Since our inception, we have diversified many times, and are now a full-service woodworking company offering many woodworking services. Back in 1983, when we received our first grand piano to refinish, it was time to move to bigger facilities more conducive to restoring larger pieces.
This bench is a touch up - NOT refinished. Scuff up (sand paper pads), carefully brush stain, blend color evenly as possible, re-coat. Next it goes to the upholsterer.
Kitchen re-face from very light oak to medium/dark birch and change of door/drawer fronts to simple mission style. Our customer was extremely patient waiting through COVID and then the storm that damaged our shop. We are very appreciative of that, and we wanted to express our gratitude.
Nice little restored 1800's wash-stand/ commode that sat in a barn for over 50 years. It's not perfect, but turned out fairly well for where it was left for all those years.
