The Power Washing process removes the top layer of dead wood fibers much the same way sandblasters remove rust from metal. We power wash with the grain, at a 45-degree angle so as not to damage the wood grain. We apply a safe, oxalic acid wood brightening solution to remove dark tannin stains that don't come out with power washing alone.
Polished concrete is rapidly becoming the ultimate decorative flooring solution. This high gloss finish never needs waxes or coatings, and it will transform your concrete floor into a beautiful, functional, low maintenance, high performance floor without the use of coatings. It will produce a floor that is slip resistant, very easy to maintain, and less expensive to keep clean. Polished concrete is smooth, dense and lustrous. It can be polished to a smooth glass-like finish that appears wet, or you can have a brilliant marble-like luster, matte or semi-gloss finish in a variety of colors.

I called up initially, got a response by phone straight away, someone on site the following day to quote, and by the end of week, my deck was stripped, cleaned, sanded and freshly stained. The crew were efficient and courteous. It looks wonderful and the price was way better than another nearby company. I'll happily use them again.

Our experiences using Marin Wood Painting and Preservation have been excellent. Several years ago, they refinished the outside of a two-story cedar-sided tongue-and-groove home, and it still looks great. They recently refinished a large deck area in another home for us. The deck is on three levels, with three sets of stairs. Their attention to detail was outstanding in all phases of the project; the stripping, power washing, hand sanding, and staining all the surfaces, including the underside of the horizontal slats on the railings. The workmen power washed concrete areas in the patio area, which was totally unexpected, and much appreciated. Upfront, they took the time to explain their choice for the stain product, and made a custom color blend they felt was best. Their price was very competitive, in line with other bids we received.

We just had our entire craftsman style home power washed, repaired , stained and painted. Great job. Working with Paul and Romy was a pleasure. The crew was very hard working. We contacted Paul at Marin Wood Restoration and Painting Company (MWRPC). He responded very quickly (impressive way to start) and arranged to come by to look at what we needed done. Our home is a large three story contemporary structure with re-sawn cedar siding that had very old semitransparent stain on it. We needed to replace several areas of cedar siding that we knew were beyond restoration. Paul recommended a contractor to assist us with the siding replacement. His recommendation was fabulous and we have continued working with him on numerous other projects including a completely new kitchen for my son's house. Thanks Paul. Back to MWRPC's work.... Paul and his foreman Romy reviewed the project, consulted with several of their suppliers and came back to us with their recommendations and proposal to do the job. They were not the lowest price we received but they were well below the most expensive prices we had and we felt extremely confident with their recommendations. Paul was always extremely responsive and accommodating. As a matter of fact I have never had anyone that had been as communicative as Paul. He made absolutely sure to go over every detail and to make sure that we had plenty of time to test color options before the final work started. Both he and Romy were committed to doing a top rate job without compromise. They thoroughly power-washed the entire house, primed all of the new wood and areas that had the most exposure and then applied two coats of highest quality opaque stain. The project was EXTREMELY difficult with very tall areas to reach and as a result took longer than they had estimated but they never complained and never asked for more than their original bid!!!!! That's ethics! The entire crew was extremely friendly and always showed up when expected. They covered all of the brand new decks I had just installed to avoid any damage. The few minor issues were dealt with perfectly and without question. The house came out way better than we could have imagined and we and they had a constant stream of people walk by to say had it looked like a completely new home and it does! I recommend Paul and Romy and his entire team without hesitation.

Paul, Romy and the crew did a wonderful job staining and rehabbing new and old decks at our house recently. They were so reliable, friendly and knowledgeable about their work. Pricing was fair and outcome wonderful. We would hire them again for our next project.

If you are searching for someone to refinish your deck, your search is over. Paul, Romy and the entire crew exceeded our expectations from first contact to finish. The estimate was very fair. The crew did an amazing job of prepping the deck taking it down to bare wood. The color is beautiful and even throughout. We have massive rails and caps, a set of stairs and street facing fascia on two sides and everything was power washed and sanded. The whole job was done in two and a half days. And really important to us based on bad outcomes of previous jobs was how careful the crew was to protect my many many plantings and keep stain off the path and driveway. Just have to leave a review about the EXCEPTIONAL customer service I got from Paul. Had multiple cracks in bathroom marble, one of which was causing a leak. Paul was honest that he did not think crack repair would stop the leak, but he went the extra mile and referred me to a contractor and plumber who could address the problem. (Both of them were prompt, courteous and competent, too.) Paul kept following up with me until he had literally done everything he could to help me. I have paid far more $$ to service providers who didn't give me a fraction of the attention he did. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Paul has an amazing crew that are punctual, curteous, talented and hardworking. The level of communication was better than I have ever experienced and his crew's attention to detail from prepping to pressure washing and staining to clean-up was top notch. I could not be happier with Marin Wood Restoration and would highly recommend their services.
