Our work is focused primarily on the healthcare, justice, commercial, education, and religious markets. Our mission is simple. To enhance the design experience, HMN Architects utilizes BIM (Building Information Modeling) to create Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, which has become a powerful tool in communicating to the client and end-users what their space will look and feel like.

Organized in 1989, HMN Architects is the result of the merger of two previously well-established Kansas City firms. HMN was formed with the express intent of developing a first-tier architectural firm dedicated to the Midwest. We provide full architectural, interior design and planning services. HMN's Interior Design department utilizes a holistic approach. With NCIDQ and LEED AP certified professionals on-staff, we're continuously developing new, innovative design solutions through research and continuing education. Having an architecture and interior design team in-house allows us to create integrated, cost-effective designs that work for our clients. HMN Architects continued their long-term working relationship with Lake Regional Health System (LRHS) by partnering with Lake Regional Hospital to renovate their existing hospital. The 54,000 SF renovation project was complete in May 2018. There were three parts to the renovation project: Main Lobby, Outpatient Unit, and Family Birth Center. From a patient standpoint, the main goal of these renovation projects was to provide a more modern and efficient experience for all visitors. The renovations were designed to set a new standard for all future projects in terms of design quality, both inside the hospital itself as well as extending to all the LRHS outreach clinics.
