The company was founded in April, 1999 in Chicago, IL. and since 2007, EPR is the nation's largest on-site electrostatic painting company, with 6 locations in 5 states. We specialize in the electrostatic painting process to refinish all types of metal, including ferrous, non ferrous, anodized aluminum, stainless steel and other conductive items at your location or ours with virtually no over spray. EPR locations are equipped with full paint shops. Most locations have a full laminate and upholstery departments where we offer office furniture refurbishing services.
OEM equivalent, low VOC coatings are applied in each of our state of the art paint shop facilities over metal and nonmetal products. Custom color matching is available, and most coatings can be applied in standard, metallic and textured finishes. Dent repair is also available. EPR additionally offers On-Site Electrostatic Painting services for the projects that require painting at the customer's location. Each office is equipped to manufacture laminated work surfaces, conference tables and tack boards in custom sizes or to manufacturer's specifications, and reupholster workstation panels & tack boards.
Each EPR facility has a fully functional paint shop available to apply a variety of high performance OEM, low VOC paint coatings using electrostatic and conventional methods. Our standard coating for most interior use products is comparable in finish and durability to the original manufacturer's paint coating. Our staff utilizes our expertise to research and determine the proper preparation process, the optimal high performance OEM equivalent, low VOC coating and finish specific to each project.
EPR provides wholesale refurbishing services to used office furniture dealers who keep an inventory, and can provide wholesale-refurbished office furniture to our dealer customers who don't keep an inventory. When needed, EPR uses our network of office furniture brokers and dealers nationally to locate and provide the furniture, and do the refurbishing in the nearest location to the dealer. For all businesses who need office furniture, or have excess furniture to dispose of or sell, EPR can recommend used office furniture brokers and dealers to provide and/or purchase office furniture.
Electrostatic painting using Ransburg #2 equipment is the spray process used to apply paint coatings to metal and other conductive substrates without creating over-spray. Atomized paint particles are positively charged and are drawn to grounded metal objects. Atomization occurs due to centrifugal force and the electrostatic charge rather than air being introduced at the tip. There are other, less efficient electrostatic spray process equipment available that can apply paint at a faster rate. When the project demands, EPR uses a variety of electrostatic and non-electrostatic spray processes to provide the best value finish for our clients.
Electro Painting and Refurbishing, Inc offers many environmentally friendly or "Green" products and services. Since the company's inception in 1999, EPR has helped keep over 50,000 semi trailers of office furniture from being land filled. This was achieved by refurbishing used office furniture for the new and used office furniture dealers nationally. There are many other industries that have received benefits from the services and materials EPR provides. Several of the 2 component paints used by EPR have solvents made from vegetable oil (sustainable resource) and nearly all of the paints are low VOC and all coatings meet government requirements.
