ArtCenter Manatee is the premier center for art, art education and unique gifts in Manatee County. The nearly 10,000 sq. Over 400 day, evening and weekend art classes and workshops for adults are offered year round in painting, drawing, pastels, pottery, jewelry design, photography and more. Our KidsArt Summer Camps and After School Programs give students 4-15 the opportunity to express their creativity while they learn valuable skills, have fun and make new friends in over 35 classes designed just for them.
Bring bright reflective joy into your life with a unique sun-transforming art piece. Class will begin with a brief demo on cutting glass and design ideas for your 4″ x 6″ project. You choose from a wide variety of glass, cut and arrange into your own unique design. Great beginner's class. Supply fee $15 payable to instructor. This is a comprehensive beginning lampworking course. Learn about safety, lampworking equipment, glass properties, bead making techniques and annealing. Students will learn to make beads of various shapes; how to use shaping, raking and poking tools; surface decoration; pulling stringers; basic encasing, frit work and making twisties.
