Lao started working at Fairhaven Furniture in 2003, but he's been coming by the store since its early days as a woodshop to learn about woodworking and work on his own small projects. In 2016, Lao and Colleen became partners in the business when Kerry and Liz retired. Lao feels honored to bring Fairhaven Furniture into this next generation and to continue offering quality furniture and customer service to the New Haven community and beyond. Colleen started her career at Fairhaven Furniture in 2005, interning at the store while studying Industrial Design at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
