New construction sites are notorious for leaving undesired soil for landscape and hydroseeding crews to work with. Adding as much as 2 to 4 inches of topsoil to a tough clay subsoil surface may be required for best results (KNOW WHERE YOUR TOPSOIL COMES FROM). If topsoil and the cost of spreading it evenly over the job site is to costly or not in the plans, best results are usually achieved when the rough grade is finished with a landscape tiller or similar tractor powered unit. NO COMPACTION for Best Results!
Liquid Sod/ Hydroseeding uses wood fiber mulch which protects and helps germinate seed. There is a Tackifier or Dirt Glue premixed in the mulch which helps keep everything in place. This eliminates the customer needing to use straw. Straw actually can bring weed seed into your yard which you don't want. Our standard seed mix is 100% weed free.

Sod prices are getting higher and higher and trying to find someone to lay it is another issue. Liquid Sod is your option when it comes to costs. It's not an instant yard like sod. But if you have the patients to do a little watering & re-fertilize when we suggest, you'll end up with sod like quality results.
Liquid Sod/ Hydroseeding is applied when the ground is dry. If ground is wet what happens is the Liquid Sod scoots across the ground compared to working in with the soil. You don't get an even application as if it was dry,
