Founded in 1996 by artist Susan Gamble, Santa Theresa Tile Works makes brilliant, distinctive tile and mosaics that epitomize Tucson decorative style. Once you start noticing Santa Theresa tile, you'll begin to spot it all over town - and across the nation. All Santa Theresa tile is handmade by artists in our workshop at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Sixth Street, which, along with our beautiful showroom, is open to the public. There, in the heart of the Historic Warehouse Arts District, you'll find a huge array of tiles, friendly staff happy to help you with projects large or small, a full schedule of hands-on workshops, and unique Southwestern-themed gifts.
Sign up for a weekend or evening mosaic workshop - even more fun with friends! Or learn to make your own tiles in a class taught by one of our artists, all materials included. Santa Theresa also offers workspace, materials, and firings to experienced tile artists - just ask our staff for details. Limit 6. $115 for a round 12" frame surrounding a 7" mirror, please call for pricing on other wood-backed projects offered. Create your very own round mirror to hang in your home! Our artist will walk you through the entire process using our tiles to create your piece.
A beautiful and inspiring workshop. I worked with a middle school class to help them learn to make pots for planting. I will be back to do other colorful and creative projects. The whole vibe is lovely and supportive.
We’ve got some new styles paired with some classic favorites available on Etsy or in the shop. Give them a look and see what you think!https:// www.etsy.com/ shop/ SantaTheresaTile
Look at the close up pictures at the link below. Wow! Congrats and thanks for sharing, Jennifer! This makes me excited to get started with tile making classes again in the near future.
Terre finished this today. Love the bright colors!
Santa Theresa is a busy place this afternoon! We’re working on packages, Etsy listings, a custom fireplace, and a backyard mural. Some pieces are waiting for glaze. Others are fresh out of the kiln. Come visit and we’ll stop everything to help you create something pretty!
