Tadas started out in the hardwood floor industry over 20 years ago. Originally from Lithuania, he immigrated to the States when he was 20 years old. After spending a year as a commercial cleaner, (where he developed his "clean freak" habit) he was offered a job with a prestigious hardwood flooring company. THE JOB: This was a brand new custom designed house with 2,800 sqft of new red oak installed. It also had a beautiful hand crafted staircase handrail - designed and built by the very talented owner - as the homes show piece. We sanded and refinished the living room, family room, kitchen, dining, 5 bedrooms and staircase. This was a fun and interesting project for us. The floors and stairs were kept the natural color and were coated with Synteco acid cure finish. This project was completed a few years ago before the new VOC laws - we don't use this finish anymore because of the high fumes and smell.
