The answer is yes, you can use a product made for window glass, but it may leave streaks and not clean as well as a professional product that is formulated to cut automotive grease and oil grime. Ace Auto Glass guarantees its workmanship against water leaks for as long as the customer owns their vehicle. Stress cracks due to installation are guaranteed for up to 90 days from the date of purchase. In the event a customer's windshield is nicked or chipped after an Ace installation, a customer may receive a free windshield repair on the same windshield provided the glass is repairable. The Ace warranty is for the vehicle owner who installed the new windshield on their vehicle, and is not transferable to subsequent owners.
